Travel down a quiet road between Yarcombe and Stockland in the Blackdown Hills, East Devon, and you’ll stumble across Ley Farm. It’s part of a small hamlet next to a working cattle farm and surrounded by fields and rolling countryside. It’s nothing short of idyllic, and we fell in love with it as soon as we saw it.
Ley Farm was built in 1825 as the ‘new’ farmhouse, next to the original Elizabethan farmhouse, part of which has survived and is now listed. So far we have converted the farmhouse into a beautiful holiday cottage and will soon follow with two other barns, allowing others to enjoy the beauty of the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
With countless walks or cycle rides through beautiful countryside (pausing for refreshment at a pub or two!) and with the coast only a short drive away, it’s the perfect place to escape to and relax, or reconnect with your family. We invite you to follow our story, and share in our journey to building our dream.
